BRANNEN-COOPER HEADJOINTS

STYLES

Brannen Brothers' headjoint styles are based on the research and designs of our Vice-President Emeritus, Albert Cooper.

Modern Cooper:

Projecting and responsive, our interpretation of Albert Cooper’s popular design has the flexibility to cover a wide range of tone colors.

Modified Cooper:

Flexible yet stable, the Modified Cooper produces a rich, full sound with slightly more resistance than the Modern Cooper.

MATERIALS

Sterling silver, in either .014" or .016" wall thickness,
with sterling silver lip plate and a sterling silver or 14K rose gold riser.

HEADJOINT EXCHANGE BENEFIT

When a customer purchases a new Brannen-Cooper headjoint, either as part of a new flute or purchased separately, the headjoint may be exchanged up to three times for another Brannen-Cooper headjoint within six months of the original purchase. Additional exchanges may be made during the six-month exchange period for a non-refundable $40.00 shipping and handling charge per shipment.

HEADJOINT RETURN POLICY

When a customer purchases a new Brannen-Cooper headjoint separately, and not as part of a new flute, it may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

When a customer purchases a new flute, the headjoint on that flute may be returned for a refund within 30 days of receipt of the flute. The refund will be approximately two-thirds of the price of that same headjoint if it had been purchased separately, i.e., not as part of a new flute.

ENGRAVING

Ornamental engraving is available on any headjoint. Pictures of our standard Embouchure Engraving Patterns are available on this website.

USE OF BRANNEN-COOPER HEADJOINTS ON OTHER FLUTES

Because the headjoint is so important in determining the sound a player gets from a flute, many players choose to improve the playing characteristics of their current instruments by using Brannen-Cooper headjoints.
